We know how important it is to be able to easily peel your stickers without creases or folds, so we make sure the backing of your stickers is easy to use. Most of our custom sticker products come with pre-slit backing to make peeling simple. Products like Die Cut Stickers, Glitter Stickers, Holographic Stickers, and Glow in the Dark Stickers all feature a convenient split backing—perfect for quick distribution or easy application.

These ¾-inch pre-slit lines run along the backing (not the sticker itself) and allow you to bend and peel your sticker apart in one smooth motion. Clear Stickers, Sticker Sheets, and Backprinted Stickers are the exception to this - they will not arrive with split backing.

How Split Backing Works 

Our pre-slit sticker backing includes:

• ¾" split lines across the backing for easier peeling
• One or more slits, depending on sticker size
• A simple bend-and-peel method—no fingernail digging required

What Products Don’t Include Split Backing?

Some products don’t use split backing by default:

• Custom Sticker Sheets do not include split backing on individual stickers.
• Clear Stickers (when individually cut) also do not feature split backing due to material limitations.
• Backprinted Stickers showcase any of your designs or promotional material on the back, so we skip the split backing to maintain the integrity of the design.

If you’re ordering Clear Stickers, consider these alternatives:

• Order Roll Labels or Rolls with Perforations for easier handling.
• Request a tab or carrier sheet during proofing. 
  • A peel tab is a small extension beyond your sticker’s cut line that gives you a simple way to lift the sticker from the liner.
  • A Carrier sheet is extra space around the peel-off that holds your sticker in the center, giving you room around the edge to grab and peel easily.
