Artwork resolution determines how sharp and detailed your printed stickers and labels will look. Resolution is measured in DPI (dots per inch). The higher the DPI, the more detail your image contains. For the best print quality, we recommend submitting artwork at 300 DPI or higher at the final print size.
If your artwork is below 300 DPI, it may appear blurry or pixelated when printed. StickerGiant can print low-resolution files, but print quality may be affected.
Why Is 300 DPI the Standard for Printing?
Many images created for websites are only 72 DPI, which looks fine on a screen but doesn't provide enough detail for professional printing.
Using artwork with at least 300 DPI helps ensure:
- Sharp text and clean edges
- Crisp, detailed graphics
- Better color reproduction
- Professional-looking results
Keep in mind that increasing the DPI of a low-resolution image won't improve its quality. For the best results, start with high-resolution artwork or vector files.
How to Check Your Artwork Resolution
Checking Resolution in Photoshop
- Open your image in Adobe Photoshop.
- Go to Image > Image Size.
- Look at the Resolution (DPI) setting. If it’s below 300 DPI, the image may not print clearly.
Checking Resolution in Illustrator
- Open your file in Adobe Illustrator.
- If your file is vector-based, it is not limited by resolution and will print clearly at any size. What is vector artwork? Find out here.
- If you’re using raster elements, ensure they are set to 300 DPI before exporting.

What Happens if You Upload Low-Resolution Artwork?
Our Art Team reviews every file before printing. If your artwork is low resolution, we'll contact you if a higher-quality file is needed. If we don't receive an updated file, we'll continue with proofing and print the artwork as submitted once you approve your proof.
Because print quality depends on the artwork provided, StickerGiant does not offer refunds, remakes, or discounts for low-resolution files.
