What Are Clear Stickers?

Clear Stickers are incredibly versatile with many finishing options - front or back adhesive, and individually sheeted, on rolls, or on rolls with perforation. They’re printed in full color with an optional white ink layer for opacity and can be finished with either a glossy or matte laminate to protect your design and enhance its look.

Material & Technical Specs

Lamination

  • Glossy Laminate: Provides a shiny, transparent finish while protecting against fading and water damage. 

  • Matte Laminate: Offers a soft, glare-free appearance and a semi-frosted look, giving your sticker a subtle, elevated finish. Ideal for a muted, high-end effect where full transparency isn’t required. 

Both laminate types are water-resistant, UV-protective, and help your clear stickers last up to 18 months with proper use.

Material Thickness

  • Polypropylene Facestock: 2 mil
  • Total Thickness with Laminate: 3.4-3.6 mil
  • Total Thickness with Backer: 8 mil

Adhesive Options

Choose between back adhesive or face adhesive, depending on where and how you plan to apply your stickers.

  • Back Adhesive (default): Design faces outward when applied
  • Face Adhesive: Design faces outward through glass when applied from the inside (great for windows and storefronts)

Both adhesives are all-temperature, permanent options that apply cleanly and adhere securely to smooth or lightly textured surfaces like glass, plastic, and metal.

Finishing Options

Clear Stickers can be printed as: 

  • Individually Cut Stickers: Great for giveaways, packaging, and direct handouts. Backing cut to your exact requested shape. Note: These do not have split backing and must be peeled from the edge. Learn more here! 

  • Standard Rolls: Continuous format, ideal for bulk applications 

  • Perforated Rolls: Each sticker is separated by a tearable perforation

Artwork

We require either fully vectorized artwork or a file at least 300 DPI at your requested size, with a transparent background layer for clear artwork. Please indicate what areas you’d like to be clear in the artwork, or in the Special Instructions box. We designate our clear material with a light blue background on your proof. Any area with that blue color will be transparent on your sticker.

Sizing & Shape

  • Minimum Size: 0.5″ x 0.5″
  • Maximum Size: 11″ x 14″
  • Custom or Standard Shapes: Cut to any contour defined by your artwork, or select a standard shape option. Clear Stickers maintain precise edges while showcasing your unique design.
