Before we print your custom stickers or labels, you'll receive a digital proof to review and approve. Your proof shows the final size, cut line, bleed, artwork placement, material details, and any special production notes. Production won't begin until you've approved it!
Note: Your proof includes two pages. Only the first page requires your review. The second page is for internal production use. Learn more about why your proof has two pages here.
What’s Included in Your Proof?
1. Dimensions:
Your proof shows the final printed size of your sticker or label. For the most accurate representation, view or print the PDF at 100% scale.
2. Cut Line:
The magenta line indicates where your product will be cut. Keep important design elements such as text, logos, and barcodes safely inside this line.
3. Bleed Area:
The bleed is the extra artwork extending beyond the cut line. It prevents unwanted white edges after trimming. Make sure background colors or graphics extend fully through the bleed area.
4. Color and CMYK Values:
All artwork is printed in CMYK. Because screens display RGB colors, printed colors may appear slightly different. For the best color accuracy, create and review your artwork in CMYK color mode. Learn more about CMYK vs. RGG here!
5. Specialty Materials and Notes:
If you've ordered Clear, Holographic, Glitter, Kraft Paper, or another specialty product, your proof will show where the material will remain visible and where a white ink backing will be applied.
6. “Proofed By” Details:
Every proof is reviewed by a Graphic Production Artist to ensure it meets production requirements. The proof will identify the team member who prepared it.
Before You Approve
Review the following:
- Confirm the size and shape are correct.
- Check spelling, grammar, and design details.
- Make sure text, logos, and barcodes are inside the cut line.
- Verify specialty materials and white ink areas are correct.
- View the proof at 100% size to confirm readability and overall appearance.
Why Proof Approval Matters
Your proof is the final version that will be printed. Once approved, your order moves directly into production, and changes can no longer be made.
Occasionally, our Art Team may make minor adjustments to improve printability, such as adding bleed or adjusting artwork placement. Any changes will be reflected in your proof before approval.
