Can You Match a Color From Something Already Printed?

We’re unable to color‑match directly from a physical item because our printing process requires digital artwork. To reproduce colors accurately, we need your file to include specific CMYK values. When you provide those CMYK values, we can print match the CMYK value within a 5% color variance.

If you have a printed label or sticker that you’d like us to match, reach out to your designer or printer for the CMYK breakdown of that design. Once we have those values, we can apply them to your custom stickers or labels so they are as close as possible to your desired look.

Why We Require Print‑Ready Artwork

Our system is set up for digital production, which means we work from print‑ready artwork instead of scanning or sampling from physical pieces. Print‑ready files ensure your colors, shapes, and sizing translate perfectly to the final product.

What is print‑ready artwork?

  • Files created in CMYK color mode
  • 300 DPI or higher resolution
  • Vector formats (AI, EPS, PDF) preferred
  • Includes bleed, cut lines, and safe areas

Not sure if your file is ready to print? Check out our Artwork Setup Guide for details on preparing your design.

Tips for Accurate Color Results

To help us achieve the best possible color match:

  • Provide exact CMYK values for key brand colors.
  • Avoid relying on RGB or Pantone values alone—convert them to CMYK first.
  • Order a Sample Pack if you’d like to see how certain colors print on different materials.
  • Use our Special Instructions box at checkout to note specific color requirements for your order.
